Inside Sales - Lead

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales Lead to strengthen our sales team's effectiveness by developing compelling sales pitches, training agents, and ensuring consistent conversions from provided leads. This role requires a balance of hands-on sales expertise and team leadership to maximise enrolments and learner engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Pitch & Conversion

  • Develop, refine, and standardise sales scripts tailored to different learner profiles and program offerings.
  • Ensure agents communicate program value, certification, and career benefits effectively.
  • Handle escalated or high-value leads directly when required.

Training & Team Development

  • Train and mentor inside sales agents on objection handling, communication, and closing techniques.
  • Conduct regular workshops, role-plays, and feedback sessions to improve performance.
  • Monitor and evaluate agent performance, providing one-on-one coaching where needed.

Process & Performance Management

  • Ensure all leads shared with the team are followed up promptly and effectively.
  • Track conversion rates and maintain accurate records using CRM tools.
  • Identify recurring learner queries and prepare structured responses for the team.

Reporting

  • Provide regular reports on team performance, conversion metrics, and sales pipeline status to management.
  • Share insights on common challenges faced by the sales team and suggest actionable solutions.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and objection-handling skills.
  • Strong experience in creating and delivering impactful sales pitches.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools for pipeline and performance tracking (Leadsquared preferred).

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of inside sales experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or team lead role (EdTech preferred).
  • Proven track record of achieving high conversion rates in EdTech or related industries.
  • Prior experience in training and managing sales teams.
