What you'll learn
- Understand engineering drawing fundamentals including projection angles, scaling, title box conventions, and standard view types used in industry
- Work with geometrical and dimensional constraints in SolidWorks Sketcher to create fully defined, error-free 2D sketches
- Build 3D models using core and advanced solid features including Extrude, Revolve, Loft, Sweep, Shell, Rib, Hole Wizard, and 3D Patterns
- Generate detailed engineering drawings with proper dimensioning, GD&T, nominal tolerances, fits, surface roughness, and datum features
- Design and manage assemblies using bottom-up and top-down approaches with balloon generation and Bill of Materials
- Model sheet metal components including unbent views, weldments, and welding symbols within the SolidWorks environment
- Apply surfacing tools such as Sweep, Loft, Revolve, Offset, Knit Surface, Filled Surface, and Trimming for advanced component design
