Dr. Shantanu Dutta is a Finance faculty and Ian Telfer Fellow in Global Finance at the Telfer School of Management. His research spans machine learning, NLP in finance, corporate governance, M&As, and market efficiency. He has published in top journals and received prestigious awards, including the SSHRC grant and Barclays Global Investors Canada Research Award. With prior industry and global teaching experience, he teaches across undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. programs.

Dr. Bollempalli Venkata Phani is the Head of the Department of Management Sciences at IIT Kanpur and former Dean of Resources and Alumni. As Chief Investigator at the E&ICT Academy, he plays a key role in advancing digital education across India. His research spans economics, management, and innovation, with influential publications in financial systems and entrepreneurship. He has held directorial roles in tech and mobility startups and was instrumental in conceptualizing and nurturing SIIC, IIT Kanpur’s incubation arm, over nearly a decade. Dr. Phani has mentored numerous startups and supported the commercialization of several technologies.
